The Quick Lessons Section is designed to help those who want to learn one particular piece.
It contains lessons focused exclusively on one song so you can learn to play it after completing the tutorial. Upon completion, you should be able to read and play the notes in their raw form, if you know the prerequisites.
The level of help and explanation will decrease proportionately to the difficulty of the song. In other words, I'll assume that you'll already know the basics if you're reading a higher difficulty Quick Lesson, and I'll only focus on the areas that I found particularly problematic. Likewise, if you're reading a lower level Quick Lesson, I'll assume that you've just started playing and explain the basics a bit, guiding you with pictures labeled with note names and finger positions.
Also, the versions of the pieces that I perform in my videos don't necessarily correspond with the versions of the quick lessons, i.e. the Quick Lesson covers the easy version while I play the advanced version in the video. The reason for this is that this website is designed to help those who want to first learn the music and not those who want to fine-tune their established piano skills. Another reason is that I'm still constantly practicing those advanced versions as well, so I'm obviously unable to guide those who seek help above my skill level.
When I say "theme," I mean the staff that contains the theme. For example, in Fur Elise, the theme is E-D#-E-D#-E-B-D-C-A, which refers to the treble staff. The bass staff part is found in bass accompaniment patterns.
I'm taking requests for songs, so send me an email if you have a particular lesson you want to request.
