Clefs
Clefs are the symbols that appear at the beginning of all staves. They denote the pitch (high or low) of notes on their respective staff.
 |
The Treble Clef is for notes of high pitch.
| Piano Connection: Because higher pitches are closer to the right side of the piano, we usually play notes on the Treble Clef with our right hand. |
The Bass Clef is for notes of low pitch.
| Piano Connection: Because lower pitches are closer to the left side of the piano, we usually play notes on the Bass Clef with our left hand. |
