Graduation (6-18-07)
Last week was one hectic week. It got me thinking about the purpose of everything because with many of my friends going to different colleges, I'll never know if I'll see them together ever again. But then again, the feeling is bittersweet. I know there'll be bigger, better things for all of us. College is a wondrous place with numerous opportunities. And it's up to us to take advantage of all that we're offered. I'm so proud of everyone in IB... Throughout all that we've been through (Extended essay, World Lit's, TOK essay, 20th Century, DAWDY, internal assessments, labs, IB tests, orals), we've managed to stay sane (maybe) and happy (possibly). Our efforts were well rewarded at graduation (can anyone say "decked out?") and we were honored with VIP seating (haha). Now, all I can say is congratulations RHS class of 2007... I know that one day, we'll change the world!

News (5-18-07)
Sorry for the lack of news. I've been busy with projects, tests, etc. But, it's almost over, and I'm looking forward to relaxing during the summer, which means - more lessons! Definitely!

Counter Realizations (4-25-07)
Counter removed.
During several browser checks, I've noticed that when using IE 7, the ActiveX warning keeps on appearing. This is due to the poll and the hit counter, since both use javascript. Although I've removed the poll, but I didn't remove the counter because it's a great, free, ad-less counter that offers many customization options, and I don't want to part with it. However, I also don't want my visitors to think that there are dangerous ActiveX controls on this site, so now, I'm looking for javascript-free counters. Does anyone know where to get free, adless, script-free hit counters?

Edit: Deleted the above counter to avoid double hits.

Updates & Plans (4-20-07)

Updates: Made some small updates here and there on all the lessons. The Quick Lesson Index was also updated to include some "coming soon" tutorials.

Plans: Add small quizzes at the end of lessons for review. Start working on the "new" website that I've been talking about since last, last week. Write more Quick Lessons.

I'm currently looking for comments on the Quick Lessons, such as their effectiveness and helpfulness, and also, how to make the "Putting it Together" sections better. If you have any feedback to give, please do so via the Forum or directly contact me. Thanks!

New Vid (4-16-07)
I uploaded a new vid a couple of days ago - Flight of the Bumble Bee. If you guys didn't know, the "surprise" was actually these videos, so that you can actually see me play and know that I wasn't some hobo claiming to be a piano enthusiast. ;)

My Vids! (4-12-07)
As you may have noticed, in the right nav bar, there's now a bright yellow box that incidentally screams, "Watch me play piano!" (which, in my opinion, you may want to click on).

Turkish March (4-7-07)

Finished another Quick Lesson: Turkish March, or, Rondo alla Turca!

And, there's a lot more coming soon since I'm on spring break. Hint: a new quick lesson, a new website design (for another website), and a special surprise (???), are planned.

When are they coming? I don't know! But before this week is up, I'm pretty sure I'll be done with them (or most of them anyway).

P.S. Hi Jess S! You can be my publicist! :)

Update (3-30-07)
Not many updates on site... but I'm extremely happy with a few events that occurred yesterday. And, I'm in a good mood. So, this means... more lessons to write and update!

Update (3-24-07)
Sorry, but as I've been busy with other stuff lately, so I will not be updating this site until April. But there is something special planned for April, around spring break time. So check back soon!

Version 3.2 + Moonlight Sonata (3-10-07)

ResCon layout 3.1!!! Changed the color scheme a bit, most noticeably the black background.

Also, finished Quick Lesson: Moonlight Sonata! I'm so proud I churned out one complete tutorial in a week. =)

URL Change! (3-3-07)
Web Hosting ASP .NET
ResCon's new url is easier to remember! Instead of the bulky subdomain: recon.awardspace.com, the new Resonance Connection can be found at: rescon.co.nr, proudly hosted by freedomain.co.nr! Of course, you should still access ResCon at recon.awardspace.com should there be problems with rescon.co.nr. However, rescon.co.nr sounds so much better, don't you agree?

Ads (2-27-07)
You may notice that there some new banner ads in the front page of Resonance Connection. These are to draw more traffic to the site while awaiting listing in the Open Directory Project. It's been 2 months since I submitted the site, so it should be approximately one more month for it to be considered for listing. Until then, I'm trying my best to bring more traffic into the site, and I have placed some regular, 468x60 ads, on the bottom of each page. Hopefully, they don't interfere with your experience at ResCon.

Update (2-23-07)

Resonance Connection - your step-by-step connection to piano perfection

I designed 2 new 468x60 banners! Hope you guys like them and please link to us!

Also, there's a new poll about Quick Lessons, found in the left nav bar of the index page. I'll check the votes after a couple of weeks, and see which new Quick Lesson I'll write.

Quick Lesson: Für Elise Done! (2-21-07)
Finished Quick Lesson: Für Elise! Working on a massive update to Flight of the Bumblebee, but I won't finish it anytime soon. In the meantime, I'm devoting all of my time to the next Quick Lesson: Moonlight Sonata.

Version 3.0 (2-11-07)

Layout Change!!! Wow, pretty soon, I'm going to have a whole collection of layouts. I don't know why, but I like making layouts. I spend more time making layouts than actually writing content. =) But I will write... soon!!!

Also, I added a new Signatures page!

Layout Update (2-4-07)
I changed the layout - AGAIN. It's not perfect, but it looks cleaner now. I removed the right nav bar because it took up a lot of space. You can still find every lesson in the left bar, under Navigation: Reading Music Index, Playing Piano Index, and Quick Lessons Index.

Anyways, I updated Triads, and I'm planning to add more quick lessons. Here are some of the songs that I'm planning:
Fur Elise, Canon in D, Turkish March, Moonlight Sonata. Hopefully, I'll complete one quick lesson every week. Bye!

Site Update (1-28-07)
Just added a lesson review at the end of each section. Updated some links and added a site map. There are so many more things planned for Resonance Connection, so please come back often!

Link to ResCon (1-28-07)
Do you have a website? Want to link to us? Resonance Connection is currently looking for affiliates to exchange links, so that both sites can mutually benefit from the exchange of banner ads. Contact me at resonance(dot)con(at)gmail(dot)com for more info.

Site Update 2.1 (1-26-07)
I actually like this layout! The left align has been moved to the center, and on browsers with wide resolutions, this looks a lot better.
I also added another section: Quick Lessons, song-oriented lessons, to help those who only want to learn one music piece, fast. Currently, I've written only one lesson on "Flight of the Bumble Bee" by Rimsky-Korsakov, but I'll add more soon as I get to them.
Also, a guestbook feature (hosted by Bravenet.com) has been added. Please comment! Thanks.

Version 2.1 Released! (1-21-07)
After a month of hard work, I've finally finished the Reading Music and Playing Piano Tutorials! There's now a Reading Music and Playing Piano index so that you can find links to all lessons easily. Also, I've added more pages to the navigation, site stuff, piano info, about me, and links. Check them out!
